~/launch
Your Bolt app is live. Here is what to fix before you share it.
Bolt gets an app working fast. These launch details are the ones most often missed, and each takes a few minutes with a free Snowkit tool. Nothing you upload leaves your device.
Snowkit Launch turns your app’s name, logo and colours into icons, a share image, head tags, robots.txt, a sitemap and policies in one zip. The full 10-point launch checklist covers everything.
Bolt gives you the project files in its editor, and many Bolt projects start from a Vite template. That makes the launch details easy to change, but the template’s defaults are easy to miss.
Fix these first
- The starter title and icon. Vite templates ship with a placeholder title and the Vite icon in
index.html. Make your own icon set with the favicon generator and write a real title and description with the meta tag generator. - A share image. Without one, links to your app show a plain card. Make one with the OG image generator and add the tags from the Open Graph generator.
- A privacy policy and terms if your app collects sign-ups, emails or payments. Start from the privacy policy generator and the terms of use generator.
Where the files go
In a Vite project, files in the public folder are served from the root of your site, so put the favicon, share image, robots.txt, sitemap.xml and llms.txt there. Tags go in the head of index.html. Other frameworks have their own place for these, and Bolt’s chat can move them for you.
After you deploy, run the live address through the meta tag checker and the security headers check.
