Make a letterhead in a minute

Your logo and name at the top, your contact line at the bottom, as Word or PDF.

Words

In longer text, start a line with ## for a heading or - for a bullet. Leave an empty line between paragraphs.

Your logo, colours and details come from Your Snowkit when you have set it up, and you can change them here for one document. Everything is made on your device and nothing is uploaded. Make a letterhead, report cover or one-pager that looks like your business, free and private.

How to make a branded document

  1. Choose What to make: a letterhead, a report cover or a one-pager.
  2. Under Your brand, check the Name, Tagline, Main colour and Contact line. Add your logo, or use Remove logo if you do not want one.
  3. Pick a Font style: Clean sans, Classic serif, Rounded or Typewriter.
  4. Choose the paper size, A4 or Letter.
  5. Type your text in the box and check the preview.
  6. Download a PDF or a Word file.

Logos can be PNG, JPG or SVG files.

PDF or Word

Download a PDF to send or print as it is. Download a Word file to keep writing in Word, Google Docs, Pages or LibreOffice: the letterhead keeps your logo and name in the page header and your contact line in the footer of every page.

Letterhead, cover or one-pager

A letterhead puts your logo and name at the top of the page with room for a letter below. A report cover is a title page with a subtitle, who it is for, who prepared it and the date. A one-pager fits a short overview of your business or project on a single page.

Writing the text

Type your text in the box and it is laid out for you. Start a line with two hash marks to make a heading, and with a dash to make a bullet point. Your font style and colour are used throughout.

Tips for a professional look

  • Use a logo with a transparent background so it sits cleanly on the page. A wide logo usually looks better than a tall one.
  • Keep to one main colour. It is easier to read and looks more polished.
  • Keep the contact line short, for example an email address, a phone number and a website.
  • Choose A4 for most of the world and Letter for the United States and Canada.
  • Print one page first and check it before printing a batch.

Common uses

Freelancers sending proposals, small businesses writing formal letters, clubs and charities preparing reports, and students handing in a project with a tidy cover page. To make invoices, use the invoice maker, and for agreements see contract templates.

Questions

Where do my logo and colours come from?

From Your Snowkit, if you have set it up. You can change them for one document without affecting your saved details.

Is my logo uploaded?

No. It is used in your browser to build the document and is not sent to a server.

Can I keep editing the letterhead later?

Yes. Download the Word file and carry on in your word processor.

Where to next

Carry on with what you just made, still on your device.
