These go on the invoice as text, a link and a QR code. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Saved drafts

Kept on this device only.

Unpaid and overdue

Reminders open as a draft in your own mail app, ready to check and send.

PreviewUpdates as you type

Drafts are saved on this device

Tax, discounts and the balance due are worked out as you type, and the PDF has your logo and no watermark. Drafts stay on your device; client details never leave it. Make a clear, professional invoice in a few minutes, free and private.

How to make an invoice

  1. Under From and to, fill in Your business and Bill to, or pick a saved client with Pick a client.
  2. Under Details, set the Invoice number, Currency, Date issued and when payment is due: On receipt, 7, 14, 30 or 60 days, or Choose a due date.
  3. Under Items, add each Description, Qty, Price and Tax %. Add Shipping or a discount if needed.
  4. Under Getting paid, add your bank details, PayPal.me name or crypto address, and choose a QR code.
  5. Check the Preview, choose A4 or Letter, and download the PDF.
  6. Press Save draft to come back later, or New invoice to start the next one.

What goes on an invoice

Your business name and contact details, who you’re billing, a unique invoice number, the date issued and the date payment is due, a line for each product or service with quantity and price, any tax, and the total. Many countries also require your tax or VAT number; add it under your business name.

Tax and discounts

Give each line its own tax rate, so taxed and untaxed items can share one invoice. A discount, as a percentage or a fixed sum, comes off before tax and is shared across the lines in proportion to their value, which is how most accounting software does it. Each tax rate gets its own line in the totals.

Get paid and keep track

Add a PayPal.me name, bank details or a crypto address and the invoice shows them with a QR code your client can scan. For euro invoices with an IBAN, the QR code works with most European banking apps. Mark invoices as paid when the money arrives; anything still open is listed under Unpaid and overdue, with a polite reminder email you can open in your own mail app.

Save the clients you bill often and pick them from the list next time. Set a number pattern such as INV-{YYYY}-### and the next number is suggested for you.

Reminders

Choose a Reminder tone: Match how late it is, Friendly, Firm or Final reminder. The email is written for you and opens in your own mail app, so you can read and edit it before sending.

Tips for getting paid faster

  • Send the invoice as soon as the work is done.
  • State the due date and the payment methods clearly.
  • Describe each item in plain words so the client knows what they are paying for.
  • Use a new invoice number every time and keep a record of what you sent.
  • Track what has been paid with the income tracker, and agree terms in advance with a contract template.

Private and free

The invoice is built and turned into a PDF right in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and the PDF carries no watermark. Save drafts to come back to them on this device, and press New invoice to start the next one with the number already moved on.
