How to turn Markdown into a PDF
- Write or paste your Markdown in the Markdown box, or press Open .md to load a file.
- Choose a page size (A4, Letter, Legal or A5), the margins and the text size.
- Turn Page numbers on or off, and check the Pages preview.
- Press Download PDF.
What Markdown is supported
Headings, paragraphs, bold, italic, strikethrough and inline code, numbered and bulleted lists with nesting, task lists with checkboxes, block quotes, fenced code blocks, tables with column alignment, horizontal rules, links and images. Links stay clickable in the PDF, and the text can be selected, searched and copied.
Adding pictures
Images written into the Markdown as data URLs work straight away. For pictures on your computer, press Add images and refer to them by file name, for example . Pictures on the web are not fetched, because nothing on this page connects to the internet.
Tips for a good-looking PDF
- Use one top-level heading for the title and smaller headings for sections.
- Keep tables narrow enough to fit the page, or choose a smaller text size.
- Use wider margins for documents that will be printed and bound, and narrow margins to fit more on a page.
- Pick A4 or Letter to match the paper you will print on.
