Join several video clips into one file. Drag the clips into order, trim the start or end of each one, and save a single MP4 or WebM. It is free and private: your videos never leave this device.
How to merge videos, step by step
- Press Choose videos, or drop your clips on the page. MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV files can be added.
- Drag the dots to put the clips in order, or use the arrows.
- Set the From and To times on any clip you want to trim.
- Choose the Size, how clips of other shapes are handled, and whether to use a Cut or a Fade between clips.
- Pick MP4 or WebM, press Merge videos, then Download.
Clips of different sizes are matched with bars or a crop, and a short crossfade can smooth the cuts. The result is a single MP4 or WebM.
Order, trim and join
Add the clips you want to join in any order, then drag them into place or use the arrows. Each clip has its own From and To times, so you can cut a slow start or a shaky ending without opening a separate editor. The total length updates as you go.
Clips from different phones and cameras
Clips rarely share the same size. The finished video takes the size of the first clip, or one you choose (1080p, 720p, Vertical or Square), and every other clip is fitted to it. Add bars keeps each picture whole with bars at the sides or top and bottom, and you can choose the bar colour. Crop to fill fills the frame and trims the edges instead. Sound from every clip is kept and matched, and clips without sound get silence so the timing stays right.
Crossfades and the finished file
A crossfade blends the end of one clip into the start of the next, picture and sound together, and shortens the total by the length of each fade. You can choose a Cut, a 0.5 second fade or a 1 second fade. The result is saved as an MP4 that plays almost everywhere or a WebM for websites. Every frame is processed by your browser, so longer videos take a little while, but nothing is uploaded and there is no size limit beyond your device's memory.
Tips for good results
- Put the clip with the shape you want first, because the finished video follows its size by default.
- Use Vertical for phone-first platforms and 1080p for widescreen.
- Keep the tab open and in view while it works, because the browser does the processing.
- Trim in the same step instead of exporting each clip separately.
Who uses it
Families join holiday clips into one film. Small businesses combine product shots into a short ad. Students join recorded parts of a presentation, and teachers combine lesson segments. For titles, captions or more editing, use the video editor, and to change the file type only, use the video converter.
