Results come from your browser’s secure random source.

Pick numbers in any range, roll any set of dice, flip coins with a running tally, or choose names from a list and shuffle it. Every result comes from your browser's secure random source, with no lean towards any number. It is free, with no ads and no sign-up.

How to use it, step by step

    1. Choose a tab: Numbers, Dice, Coin or Pick from a list.
    2. For numbers, set From, To and How many, choose whole numbers or up to 3 decimal places, and tick No repeats or Sort the results if needed.
    3. For dice, pick d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, d100 or your own sides, set the number of dice, and press Roll.
    4. For coins, choose how many to flip and keep a running tally.
    5. For a list, type one entry per line, then Pick or Shuffle all. Press Copy to keep the result.

    Truly fair results

Each result uses the cryptographic random source built into your browser, the same one used for security keys. Turning those raw values into a range can quietly favour some numbers over others, so values that would tip the balance are thrown away and drawn again. Every number in your range, every face of a die and both sides of a coin are exactly as likely.

    Draws, raffles and games

Use No repeats to draw raffle tickets or lottery-style numbers, Pick to choose a winner or a team captain from a list of names, and Shuffle to put a list in random order for a running order or seating plan. The dice roller handles anything from a single d20 to a fistful of d6, with a total and an optional modifier.

    Ideas for using it

    • Teachers can choose who answers next or make random pairs.
    • Game groups can roll dice for tabletop games when theirs are missing.
    • Organisers can draw giveaway winners and put speakers in a random order.
    • Anyone can settle a small choice with a coin flip.
    • Students can generate sample data for a statistics exercise.

To spin a wheel instead of pressing a button, try the picker wheel.

    Private

Everything happens on this device. Your lists are not sent anywhere, and the short history of recent results stays in this browser.

    Questions

    Is it really random?

Yes. It uses the secure random source in your browser, and biased values are discarded and redrawn.

Can I roll a custom die?

Yes. Choose Other and enter the number of sides.

Can I draw numbers without repeats?

    Yes. Tick No repeats.

Can I use it for passwords?

It is built for numbers, dice, coins and lists. For a password, use a dedicated password tool.
