Student home puts your Brightspace calendar, your own deadlines and your course files side by side. Your calendar link and your files stay in this browser. No account is needed.
How to connect your Brightspace calendar
- Sign in to Brightspace and open Calendar.
- Choose Subscribe, pick All courses, and copy the link it shows.
- Paste the link into Student home and press Connect.
- Press Refresh any time to pull in new dates. Student home also checks for changes each time you open it.
The same steps work with calendar links from Canvas, Moodle, Google Calendar and Outlook. If you would rather not paste a link, download the calendar file and open it here instead.
What you see
Up next shows the closest deadline with a countdown, the week at a glance and everything coming up, grouped by day. Tick work off when it is handed in. Tests and exams are tagged so they stand out. Your own items from the assignment planner appear here too.
Keeping course files together
Download a module or a whole course as a zip from Brightspace and drop it on Course files. Each file is saved into your Library inside a project for that course, so slides, readings and notes stay together. From there you can ask a PDF questions, turn readings into notes or make a PDF from slides.

Is my calendar link private?
Your link is kept in this browser. When you connect or refresh, Snowkit fetches the calendar for you and passes it straight back to your device. The link and the calendar are not saved on our side.
Does it change anything in Brightspace?
No. Student home only reads your calendar. Ticking work off here does not submit or change anything in Brightspace.
What if my link stops working?
Schools sometimes reset calendar links. Make a new one in Brightspace and paste it under Calendar link.
