The PDF has your logo, a valid-until date and a place for your client to accept. Quotes stay on your device. It is free, with no ads and no sign-up.

How to make a quote, step by step

  1. On Client, fill in Your business and who the quote is for. Saved clients can be picked from a list.
  2. Under Details, choose whether to call it a Quote or an Estimate, and set the Number, Date, Valid until and Currency.
  3. Under Work and prices, add one line for each part of the job with its Description, Qty, Price and Tax %. Add a Discount as a percentage or a sum.
  4. Under Notes and terms, add a friendly note and what the price includes.
  5. Check the preview, choose A4 or Letter, then press Download PDF.

Quote or estimate?

A quote is a fixed price for the work listed. An estimate is your best guess, which can change as the work goes on. Pick the word that fits; everything else works the same.

From quote to invoice

When the client says yes, press Turn into an invoice. The invoice maker opens with the same client, items, prices and discount, a fresh invoice number and a due date, ready to check and send. The quote is kept so you can find it later.

What makes a good quote

  • List each part of the job on its own line so the client can see what they are paying for.
  • State how long the price is valid.
  • Say what is included and what is not, such as materials, travel or extra revisions.
  • Add payment terms, such as a deposit or when the balance is due.
  • Keep a clear way for the client to accept, such as a signature and date.

Who uses it

Freelancers, tradespeople, photographers, designers, cleaners, tutors and small agencies, anyone who needs to agree a price before starting work.

Private and free

Everything is worked out in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and the PDF carries no watermark. Saved quotes stay on this device.
