Desk times every entry and reminds you when the call-back is due.

Snowkit Desk is a free work organiser that runs in your browser. Add a task with a follow-up time and it rings when it is due. Jot a note, keep the replies you type every day with blanks to fill in, log calls and incidents with the time, and turn the whole day into a handover or a summary with one click. There is no account and nothing to install, so it works on a locked-down work computer, and everything stays on this device.

Type it the way you would say it

One box adds everything. Type call Dave back in 20 min, chase the delivery at 2:30, send the report by end of day or timesheet friday 4pm, and Desk sets the follow-up for you. Add #healthcare or any word with a hash to tag it, and an exclamation mark on its own to mark it urgent. Reference numbers such as INC-4821 or #482913 are picked up so you can search for them later. Start with note: or log: to add a note or a log entry from any view.

Paste a screenshot, get the text

Paste a screenshot anywhere on Desk, such as a case screen, a booking or an email, and the text in it becomes a note you can search and copy from. The text is read on this device, so the picture is never uploaded.

Three views of the same day

Today is your list for the day: what is overdue, what is due today, what is left from earlier days and what is coming up. Anything you do not finish carries over to tomorrow on its own, so nothing falls off the list. Board shows your notes as cards, like sticky notes you can colour, pin, tag and search. Shift is a time-stamped log with the open items beside it, made for control rooms, dispatch, reception and support desks. A note made on Today appears on the Board, and a log entry from Shift appears on Today, so nothing is split between apps.

Follow-ups that ring

When a follow-up is due, Desk plays a soft chime and shows it at the top of the page, with Done and Snooze buttons for five minutes, fifteen minutes or an hour. Allow notifications in Settings and it also rings while you are working in another tab or app. Reminders ring while Desk is open in a browser tab, so keep it pinned. Anything that came due while it was closed is shown the moment you open it again.

Saved replies with blanks to fill

Keep the emails and messages you send again and again, such as delay updates, confirmations and chasers. Put blanks in curly brackets, like {name} or {new time}, and Desk asks for each one, shows the finished message and copies it in one click, ready to paste into Outlook, Gmail, Teams or your case system. {date}, {time}, {me} and {signature} fill themselves in. Turn on Log it when I copy and each reply you send is written to your log with the time.

A log for calls, incidents and updates

Switch to Log, or open Shift, and every entry gets the time it was written. Start an entry with a time, like 10:42 driver called from the roadside, to log something that happened a few minutes ago. Desk sorts entries into calls, emails, incidents and updates, and keeps incidents open until you close them, so the next person can see what is still going on. Download the log as a CSV file for Excel or Google Sheets, or open it as a table in Snowkit Dev.

Handovers and end of day in one click

Press End of day, or Hand over in Shift, and Desk writes it for you: open items with their times, what was done, the full log and any notes, for the shift or the day. Add a line for the next person, then copy it into an email or chat, download it, print it or open it in Snowkit Write to turn it into a report. The next shift on the same computer sees the last handover waiting in Shift.

Made for any office

Admin and reception, dispatch and control centres, customer service and call centres, coordinators and schedulers, HR, accounts and personal assistants all have the same kind of day: interruptions, promises to call back, the same replies typed again and again, and a report at the end. Desk keeps all of it in one tab that opens instantly and asks nothing of your IT department.

Private by design

Work notes often hold names, phone numbers, addresses and case details. Desk keeps them in this browser on this device and never sends them anywhere: there is no server, no account and no tracking. Because of that, clearing your browser data also clears Desk, so download a backup file from Settings now and then. A backup restores here or on another computer.

Questions

Does it work on a work computer where I cannot install anything?

Yes. Desk is a web page, so it runs in Edge, Chrome, Firefox or Safari with nothing to install and no account to create. Check your workplace's rules on where work notes may be kept.

Will reminders ring if the tab is closed?

No. Browsers only let a page ring while it is open. Keep Desk open in a pinned tab, and anything that came due while it was closed is shown as soon as you open it.

Can my team share one desk?

Everything is kept on one computer, so a shared console works well: the incoming shift sees the last handover and the open items. To pass work to someone on another computer, copy the handover into an email or chat.

Is there a limit?

Desk comfortably holds years of tasks, notes and log entries. Deleted items can be brought back with undo, and are cleared for good after thirty days.
