What it does

Split text, Markdown or PDF text into chunks by tokens or characters, with overlap and a preview. Export JSONL for embeddings and RAG, on your device.

Steps

1. Paste your text into Text to split, or use Open a file. Try an example loads sample text.
2. Choose whether to measure in Tokens or Characters.
3. Set the Chunk size and the Overlap.
4. Pick Natural breaks or Exact size.
5. Optionally turn on New chunk at each Markdown heading.
6. Check the numbers: chunks, average size, smallest and largest. Use Show more chunks to scroll the preview.
7. Press Copy JSONL or Download JSONL.
