How Snowkit works
Snowkit's tools do their work inside your browser, on your own device. Here is what that means in practice.
The work happens in your browser
When you convert an image, merge a PDF or format some JSON, your browser does the work. Your files are read on your own device and are never sent to our servers. Close the tab and they are gone, unless you choose to keep them in your Library.
What goes online
Opening a page loads Snowkit's own code, like any website. A few tools exist to look things up on the internet: Citation generator, MCP tester, Snowkit Launch, Expiry checker, DNS lookup, Pre-launch scan and HTTP header checker. They send only the address or reference you type, never your files, and each one says what it sends on its page.
Fast, because nothing is uploaded
There is no upload to wait for and no queue. Most tools are ready the moment the page loads, and once a page has loaded, most keep working if your connection drops.
Free, with no sign-up
Every tool is free, with no trials and no watermarks, and none of them needs an account. If you like, sign in with a passkey, your email, GitHub or Google to keep your favourite tools, Library and kit on every device. See sync and accounts.
What we count
Snowkit has no ad networks, no trackers and no cookie banners. We count page views, finished jobs and searches that found nothing, without cookies and without knowing who you are, so we know which tools people use and what to build next. The privacy policy lists exactly what is counted.
Check it yourself
You don't have to take our word for it. Open the Network tab in your browser while you use a tool, and you will see that no file of yours leaves the device.
