Sync and accounts

Accounts are optional. Sign in only if you want your favourites, Library and kit on every device.

Signing in

No tool needs an account. If you want one, sign in with a passkey, your email, GitHub or Google on the account page. You can connect more than one way in, and any of them opens the same account. You can remove one at any time, as long as another way in is left.

Private sync

Private sync keeps your Library, Your Snowkit, your tricks and your favourite tools the same on every device where you sign in. Everything is locked in your browser before it is saved, so only your devices can open it. Sync stays off until you turn it on, and turning it off deletes the synced copy from our servers.

Passkeys and the recovery key

A new device unlocks your sync with one of your passkeys, or with the recovery key you see once when you turn sync on. Keep that key somewhere safe. If every passkey and the recovery key are lost, nobody can open the synced data, including us. Everything already saved on your devices keeps working.

When sync space is full

Sync pauses for new files, and nothing is deleted. New files stay on the device where you saved them, and everything already synced keeps working.

Your name and picture

On your account page you can edit your display name and add a picture, cropped to a circle, or keep your initial. They are stored with your account so they show on every device, and they are not part of your encrypted sync.

Deleting your account

Sign in and open your account page. You can sign out there, or delete your account and everything stored with it at any time.
