Open by nature

Snowkit is built in the spirit of the open web. Your files stay yours, the formats are the ones everyone uses, and you can check how it all works for yourself.

See for yourself

Every tool works on your own device, and you can watch it happen:

  1. Open your browser's developer tools. On most computers that is F12, or Command, Option and I on a Mac.
  2. Switch to the Network tab.
  3. Open any tool and use it with a file.
  4. Watch the list. You will see Snowkit's own page files, and none of yours.

Tool pages also show a small counter of how many bytes of file data the page has sent anywhere. It stays at zero.

Common formats, no lock-in

What you make comes out as an ordinary file, in formats you already use: PDF, PNG, JPG, WebP, SVG, Word, CSV, Markdown, JSON and more. Open it anywhere and keep it for as long as you like. Your whole Library can be downloaded as one file at any time, and QR codes made here hold your link inside the code, so they never expire.

Any modern browser

Snowkit works in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, on computers, tablets and phones, whether you use Windows, a Mac, Linux, Android or an iPhone. There is nothing to install.

No ads, no trackers

No ad networks, no trackers and nothing about you for sale. The everyday tools stay free. It is all written down in our promise.

Standing on open source

Snowkit is built on open-source projects such as PDF.js, pdf-lib, Mammoth, fontkit, Tesseract.js and libheif, and set in typefaces released under open licences. Each one is listed, with its licence, on the open-source page. Thank you to everyone who builds and looks after them.
