What it does

Add, multiply and transpose matrices up to 8x8, and find the determinant, inverse, rank, RREF, LU decomposition and eigenvalues, in exact fractions with steps.

Steps

  1. Set the size of Matrix A and fill in the cells. Use Paste to bring in numbers from a spreadsheet, or Identity and Random for quick starts.
  2. For an operation on two matrices, fill in Matrix B as well.
  3. Pick an operation: Determinant, Inverse, RREF, Rank, Eigenvalues, LU, Transpose, Trace, k times A or A to the power n, or A plus B, A minus B and A times B.
